It is enough of a righteous act to have a good habit.
كَفى بِفِعْلِ الخَيْرِ حُسْنُ عادَة۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Whenever you perform an action with sincerity, you attain something you hope for in the Hereafter.
كُلَّما أخْلَصْتَ عَمَلاً بَلَغْتَ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ أمَلاً۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
As you deal with others, so too will you be dealt with.
كَما تَدينُ تُدانُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
For every action there is a reward, so let your actions be for that which remains and leave aside...
لِكُلِّ عَمَل جَزاءٌ، فَاجَعَلُوا عَمَلَكُمْ لِما يَبْقى وذَرُوا ما يَفْنى۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Let your most reliable provisions be [your] righteous actions.
لِيَكُنْ أوْثَقُ الذَّخائِرِ عِنْدَكَ العَمَلَ الصَّالِحَ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Action will never become pure until knowledge becomes sound.
لَنْ يَصْفُوَ العَمَلُ حَتّى يَصِحَّ العِلْمُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Action will never be pure unless it is accompanied by knowledge.
لَنْ يَزْكُوَ العَمَلُ حَتّى يُقارِنَهُ العِلْمُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who works [for the Hereafter] yearns [for it].
مَنْ عَمِلَ اِشْتاقَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who works increases in strength.
مَنْ يَعْمَلْ يَزْدَدْ قُوَّةً۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who falls short in his action increases his lassitude.
مَنْ يُقَصِّرْ فيِ العَمَلِ يَزْدَدْ فَتْرَةً۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who works for the Hereafter attains success through the right [course].
مَنْ عَمِلَ لِلْمَعادِ ظَفِرَ بِالسَّدادِ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who does as he wishes meets that which displeases him.
مَنْ فَعَلَ ما شاءَ لَقِيَ ما ساءَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who is slowed down by his action cannot be quickened by his lineage.
مَنْ أبْطَأ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One whose action is sincere will not be deprived of what he hopes for.
مَن ْ أخْلَصَ العَمَلَ لَمْ يَعْدِمِ المَأْمُولَ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who acts in obedience to Allah, he is well pleased with [by Allah].
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِطاعَةِ اللّهِ كانَ مَرْضِيّاً۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Whoever makes his actions good, attains his hopes.
مَنْ أحْسَنَ عَمَلَهُ بَلَغَ أمَلَهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who is sincere in his action his reward will be pure.
مَنْ نَصَحَ فِي العَمَلِ نَصَحَتْهُ المُجازاةُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One whose action is action, his requital will be good.
مَنْ أحْسَنَ العَمَلَ حَسُنَتْ لَهُ المُكافاةُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Whoever acts upon the commandments of Allah, obtains reward.
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِأوامِرِ اللّهِ أحْرَزَ الأجْرَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who acts in obedience to Allah gains [prosperity].
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِطاعَةِ اللّهِ مَلَكَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who makes his actions good demonstrates the abundance of his intellect.
مَنْ أحْسَنَ أفْعالَهُ أعْرَبَ عَنْ وُفُورِ عَقْلِهِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who is heedless of acting in obedience to Allah has wronged himself.
مَنْ أهْمَلَ العَمَلَ بِطاعَةِ اللّهِ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who is not pleased with his action, is forced to perform even better.
مَنْ أنِفَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ اِضْطَرَّهُ ذلِكَ إلى عَمَل خَيْر مِنْهُ۔

One whose action is good attains from Allah what he hopes for.
مَنْ حَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ بَلَغَ مِنَ اللّهِ أمَلَهُ۔
