The human being is not enthralled until he is engulfed by favour.
لَنْ يُسْتَرَقَّ الإنْسانُ حَتّى يَغْمُرَهُ الإحْسانُ۔

One who is not good at seeking sympathy is faced with scorn.
مَنْ لَمْ يُحْسِنِ الاسْتِعْطافَ قُوبِلَ بِالاِسْتِخْفافِ۔

Nothing enthrals the honourable ones like benevolence.
مَا اسْتُعْبِدَ الكِرامُ بِمِثْلِ الإكْرامِ۔

أفْضَلُ الكُنُوزِ مَعْرُوفٌ يُودَعُ(يُودِعُهُ) الأحْرارُ، وعِلْمٌ يَتَدارَسَهُ الأخْيارُ۔

Ingratitude for favours leads to deprivation.
كُفْرانُ الإحْسانِ يُوجِبُ الحِرْمانَ۔

One who withholds from giving is deprived of (or prevents) praise.
مَنْ مَنََعَ العَطاءَ مَنَعَ الثَّناءَ۔

Giving after having refused is more graceful than refusing after having given.
اَلعَطِيَّةُ بَعْدَ المَنْعِ أجْمَلُ مِنَ المَنْعِ بَعْدَ العَطِيَّةِ۔

Whoever does good to the people, Allah covers him with His mercy and places him in His pardon.
مَنْ أحْسَنَ إلَى الرَّعِيَّةِ، نَشَرَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ جَناحَ رَحْمَتِهِ وأدْخَلَهُ في مَغْفِرَتِهِ۔

Give whatever you are giving expeditiously and beneficially, and if you refuse then let it be with...
أعْطِ ما تُعْطِيهِ مُعَجَّلاً مُهَنَّأً وإنْ مَنَعْتَ فَلْيَكُنْ في إجْمال وَإعْذار۔

One who finds it easy to give away [his] wealth has hopes directed towards him.
مَنْ هانَ عَلَيْهِ بَذْلُ الأمْوالِ تَوَجَّهَتْ إلَيْهِ الآمالُ۔

One who loves to be remembered with praise should give generously from his wealth.
مَنْ أحَبَّ الذِّكْرَ الجَميلَ فَلْيَبْذُلْ مالَهُ۔

One who gives generously enthrals the people.
مَنْ بَذَلَ مالَهُ اِسْتَرَقَّ الرِّقابَ۔

Nothing spreads renown like generosity.
ماشاعَ الذِّكْرُ بِمِثْلِ البَذْلِ۔

Generosity is the expander of ability.
اَلْبَذْلُ مادَّةُ الإمْكانِ۔

Generosity earns praise.
اَلبَذْلُ يَكْسِبُ الحَمْدَ۔

Through generosity, praises are increased.
بِالبَذْلِ تَكْثُرُ المَحامِدُ۔

By being generous with blessings, the blessings last longer.
بِبَذْلِ النِّعْمَةِ تُسْتَدامُ النِّعْمَةُ۔

Increased generosity is a sign of nobility.
كَثْرَةُ البَذْلِ آيَةُ النُّبْلِ۔
