One who has no insight, has no knowledge.
لاعِلْمَ لِمَنْ لابَصيرَةَ لَهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Nobody disparages knowledge and its possessors except the foolish, ignorant one.
لايَسْتَخِفُّ بِالْعِلْمِ وأهْلِهِ إلاّ أحْمَقٌ جاهِلٌ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
A little knowledge removes a lot of ignorance.
يَسيرُ الْعِلْمِ يَنْفي كَثيرَ الجَهْلِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
People attain superiority through knowledge and intellect, not by wealth and lineage.
يَتَفاضَلُ النّاسُ بِالعُلُومِ والعُقُولِ،لابِالأمْوالِ والأُصُولِ۔

Knowledge needs action.
يَحْتاجُ الْعِلْمُ إلَى العَمَلِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Knowledge needs forbearance.
يَحْتاجُ العِلْمُ إلَى الحِلْمِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Knowledge needs suppression [of anger].
يَحْتاجُ الْعِلْمُ إلى الكَظْمِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Obey knowledge and disobey ignorance, [for by doing this] you will be successful.
أطِعِ الْعِلْمَ، وأعْصِ الجَهْلَ تُفْلِحْ۔

Knowledge is the most honourable guidance.
الْعِلْمُ أشْرُ فَ هِدايَة۔
