Be occupied by gratitude for your good state and [your] safety from that which has afflicted others.
لِيَكُنِ الشُّكْرُ شاغِلاً لَكَ عَلى مُعافاتِكَ مِمَّا ابْتُلِيَ بِهِ غَيْرُكَ۔

None is capable of fortifying blessings the way [showing] gratitude for them does.

مَنْ كَثُرَ شُكْرُهُ تَضاعَفَتْ نِعَمُهُ۔

One who is inspired to show gratitude will not be deprived of increase.
مَنْ أُلْهِمَ الشُّكْرَ لَمْ يَعْدَمَ الزِّيادَةَ۔

One who does not show gratitude for a blessing is punished by its cessation.
مَنْ لَمْ يَشْكُرِ النِّعْمَةَ عُوقِبَ بِزَوالِها۔

One who continues showing gratitude makes the goodness [and blessing] last.
مَنْ أدامَ الشُّكْرَ اِسْتَدامَ البِرَّ۔

One who is bestowed with a blessing and gives thanks for it is like the one who is tried with...
مَنْ أُنْعِمَ عَلَيْهِ فَشَكَرَ كَمَنِ ابْتُلِيَ فَصَبَرَ۔

One who shows gratitude for [and act of] kindness has indeed fulfilled its right.
مَنْ شَكَرَ المَعْرُوفَ، فَقَدْ قَضى حَقَّهُ۔

مَنْ شَكَرَ عَلى غَيْرِ إحْسان ذَمَّ عَلى غَيْرِ اِساءَة۔

Whoever makes the effort to show concern for you, then make the effort to show him your gratitude.
مَنْ بَذَلَ لَكَ جُهْدَ عِنايَتِهِ فَابْذُلْ لَهُ جُهْدَ شُكْرِكَ۔

One who guards (or mixes) blessings with gratitude is surrounded by more [blessings].
مَنْ حاطَ(خَلَطَ) النِّعَمَ بِالشُّكْرِ حيطَ بِالمَزيدِ۔

مَنْ لَمْ يُحِطِ النِّعَمَ بِالشُّكْرِ لَها فَقَدْ عَرَّضَها لِزَوالِها۔
