Speak the truth and you will benefit; do not utter falsehood and you will be safe.
قُولُوا الحَقَّ تَغْنَمُوا، واسْكُتُوا عَنِ الباطِلِ تَسْلَمُوا۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
For truth there is stability.
لِلْحَقِّ دَوْلَةٌ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Let your refuge be the truth, for verily truth is the strongest supporter.
لِيَكُنْ مَوْئِلُكَ إلَى الحَقِّ، فَإنَّ الحَقَّ أقْوى مُعِين۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who does not act upon the truth will never attain salvation.
لَنْ يُدْرِكَ النَّجاةَ مَنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ بِالحَقِّ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who acts upon the truth, gains [from it].
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالحَقِّ غَنِمَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who acts upon the truth, profits.
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالحَقِّ رَبِحَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who acts upon the truth is saved.
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالْحَقِّ نَجا۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who acts upon the truth becomes successful.
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالحَقِّ أفْلَحَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who fights against the truth is thrown down.
مَنْ صارَعَ الحَقَّ صُرِعَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who speaks truthfully is believed.
مَنْ قالَ بِالحَقِّ صُدِّقَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who tries to prevail against the truth is overpowered [by it].
مَنْ غالَبَ الحَقَّ غُلِبَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who battles against the truth is ruined.
مَنْ حارَبَ الحَقَّ حُرِبَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who opposes the truth is killed (or thrown down) by it.
مَنْ عانَدَ الحَقَّ قَتَلَهُ (صَرَعَهُ)۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who opposes the truth is seized by powerlessness.
مَنْ عانَدَ الحَقَّ لَزِمَهُ الوَهْنُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who opposes the truth has taken Allah as his adversary.
مَنْ عانَدَ الحَقَّ كانَ اللّهُ خَصْمَهُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who is not saved by the truth is destroyed by falsehood.
مَنْ لَمْ يُنْجِهِ الحَقُّ، أهْلَكَهُ الباطِلُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who transgresses the truth, his path becomes narrowed.
مَنْ تَعَدَّى الحَقَّ، ضاقَ مَذْهَبُهُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who seeks honour through truth will be honoured by truth.
مَنِ اعْتَزَّ بِالحَقِّ أعَزَّهُ الحَقُّ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who shows his face [in opposition] to the truth is destroyed.
مَنْ أبْدى صَفْحَتَهُ لِلْحَقِّ هَلَكَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who takes the truth as his reins, the people will take him to be their leader.
مَنِ اتَّخَذَ الحَقَّ لِجاماً اِتَّخَذَهُ النَّاسُ إماماً۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Whoever acts upon the truth, the creation incline towards him.
مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالحَقِّ مالَ إلَيْهِ الخَلْقُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who feels ashamed of speaking the truth is really a fool.
مَنِ اسْتَحْيى مِنْ قَوْلِ الحَقِّ فَهُوَ أحْمَقُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who struggles to establish the truth is granted success [by Allah].
مَنْ جاهَدَ عَلى إقامَةِ الحَقِّ وُفِّقَ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who deviates from the truth, his end is dispraised.
مَنْ نَكَبَ عَنِ الحَقِّ ذُمَّ عاقِبَتُهُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
