Hadith #66

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

You will not find an ignorant person but at one extreme or the other.

This profound statement highlights the nature of ignorance and its consequences. Let us delve deeper into the words of this Hadith and explore its meaning in light of the Quran.

The word (jahil) "جَاهِلَ" in Arabic refers to an ignorant person, someone lacking knowledge or understanding. This ignorance can manifest in various ways, leading to extreme behavior. And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.

It is crucial for Muslims to seek knowledge, understand their faith, and avoid falling into the traps of ignorance.
