إنَّ الدُّنيا لَمْ تُخْلَقْ لَكُمْ دارَ مَقام، ولا مَحَلَّ قَرار، وإنَّما جُعِلَتْ لَكُمْ مَجازاً لِتَزَوَّدُوا مِنْها الأعمالَ الصّالِحَةَ لِدارِ القَرارِ، فَكُونُوا مِنْها على أوْفاز، وَلا تَخْدَعَنَّكُمْ مِنها العاجِلَةُ، وَلا تَغُرَّنَّكُمْ فيها الفِتْنَةُ۔
This world was neither created for you as a permanent abode nor as a place to settle, rather it has only been made as a passage for you so that you may acquire from it the provisions of good deeds for the abode of [permanent] settlement. Therefore be alert and do not let its temporary pleasures deceive you or its temptations beguile you.
