Hadith #1558

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his righteous companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

قَدِ انْجابَتْ السَّرائِرُ لأهْلِ البَصائِرِ۔

This can be translated as,

Indeed the secrets have been revealed for people of insight.

Let us delve into the meaning of this thought-provoking Hadith. The word (sara'ir) "سَرَائِر" refers to secrets or hidden knowledge. In the Quran, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) repeatedly emphasizes the significance of knowledge and understanding. In Surah Al-Ankabut, verse 43, Allah says,

And these examples We present to the people, but none will understand them except those of knowledge.

This verse highlights that true understanding and comprehension can only be attained through knowledge.

Furthermore, in Surah Al-Zumar, verse 9, Allah says,

Are those who know equal to those who do not know?

This verse emphasizes the superiority of those who possess knowledge and insight over those who lack it. It highlights the importance of seeking knowledge and developing a deep understanding of the world.

Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), being the gate of knowledge and wisdom, possessed unparalleled insight and understanding. His statement in this Hadith serves as a reminder to all Muslims to strive for knowledge and understanding. It encourages us to seek the hidden truths of the universe and to develop a deep insight into the world around us.
