Hadith #9292

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states, "المُكافاةُ عِتْقٌ۔" This can be translated into English as "Recompense is liberation."

Let us delve into the deeper meaning of this thought-provoking Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) in light of the Quran. The word (mukafah) "مُكافاةُ" refers to recompense or reward, while (itq) "عِتْقٌ" means liberation or freedom.

In the Quran, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) emphasizes the concept of recompense and reward for our actions. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 286, Allah says, (2:286)

Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear...
