ما نَزَلَتْ آيَةٌ إلاّ وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ فيما نَزَلَتْ وأيْنَ نَزَلَتْ، في نَهار، أوْ لَيْل، في جَبَل، أوْ سَهْل، وإنَّ رَبِّي وَهَبَ لِي قَلْباً عَقُولاً، ولِساناً قَؤُولاً۔

No verse [of the Qur’an] was revealed but that I knew the occasion of its revelation and where it was revealed, [whether] in daytime or night, on a mountain or a plain; and my Lord has gifted me with an intelligent heart and an eloquent tongue.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

In this profound hadith, Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) expresses his deep knowledge and understanding of the Quran. He states that no verse of the Quran was revealed without him knowing the occasion of its revelation and where it was revealed, whether it was during the day or night, on a mountain or a plain. This statement highlights the immense knowledge and insight that Imam Ali possessed, which was bestowed upon him by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ).
