He who has animosity [towards others] is not capable of fearing Allah.
لايَسْتَطيعُ أنْ يَتَّقِيَ اللّهَ مَنْ خاصَمَ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Quarrels [and disputes] manifest the foolishness of a person and do not increase in his right.
اَلمُخاصَمَةُ تُبْدي سَفَهَ الرَّجُلِ ولاتَزيدُ في حَقِّهِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One whose transgression (or antagonism) increases, his enemies increase.
مَنْ كَثُرَ تَعَدِّيهِ (تَعاديهِ) كَثُرَتْ أعاديهِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Power is lost through aggression [and oppression].
القُدْرَةُ يُزيلُهَا العُدْوانُ۔
