Leniency And Gentleness

Leniency is the key to rightness and the trait of the people of understanding. اَلرِّفْقُ مِفْتاحُ الصَّوابِ، وشيمَةُ ذَوي الألباب۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency makes difficulties bearable and eases the harshness of situations. اَلرِّفْقُ يُيَسِّرُ الصِّعابَ، ويُسَهِّلُ شَديدَ الأسبابِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency is the infusion of goodness and the symbol of success. اَلرِّفْقُ لِقاحُ الصَّلاحِ، وعُنْوانُ النَّجاحِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Be lenient and you shall gain success. اُرْفُقْ تُوَفَّقْ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The best thing is gentleness. أفْضَلُ شَيْء الرِّفْقُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The greatest [form of] piety is gentleness. أكبَرُ البِرِّ الرِّفْقُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency is the key to success. الرِّفْقُ مِفْتاحُ النَّجاحِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency is the key to rightness. الرِّفْقُ مِفتاحُ الصَّوابِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Gentleness blunts the edge of opposition. الرِّفْقُ يَفُلُّ حَدَّ المُخالَفَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency is the symbol of nobility. الرِّفْقُ عُنْوانُ النُّبْلِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency is the symbol of aptness. الرِّفْقُ عُنْوانُ سَداد۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم With leniency there is auspiciousness. اليُمْنُ مَعَ الرِّفْقِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Leniency leads to peace. الرِّفْقُ يُؤَدّي إلَى السِّلْمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Gentleness is the brother of a believer. الرِّفْقُ أخُو المُؤْمِنِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Being lenient with one’s subjects [and dependents] stems from an honourable disposition. الرِّفْقُ بِالأتْباعِ مِنْ كَرَمِ الطِّباعِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When you punish, be lenient. إذا عاقَبْتَ فَارْفُقْ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When leniency is unsuitable, then harshness is lenience. إذا كانَ الرِّفْقُ خُرْقاً كانَ الخُرْقُ رِفْقاً۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Through leniency, magnanimity is completed. بِالرِّفْقِ تَتِمُّ المُرُوءَةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Through gentleness, goals are achieved. بِالرِّفْقِ تُدْرَكُ المَقاصِدُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Through gentleness, difficulties become easy [to bear]. بِالرِّفْقِ تَهُونُ الصِّعابُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Through gentleness, companionship lasts longer. بِالرِّفْقِ تَدُومُ الصُّحْبَةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The pinnacle of knowledge is leniency [and compassion]. رَأسُ العِلْمِ الرِّفْقُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The cornerstone of politics is employing leniency. رَأسُ السِّياسَةِ اِسْتِعمالُ الرِّفْقِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The gentleness of a person and his generosity endear him to his enemies. رِفْقُ المَرْءِ وسَخاؤُهُ يُحَبِّبُهُ إلى أعْدائِهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
