Hadith #4543

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

In this profound Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), he highlights two important aspects of Islamic teachings: the prohibition of adultery and the renunciation of homosexuality. Let us delve into the deeper meaning of this Hadith and explore its significance in light of the Quran.

And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way.

Furthermore, in Surah Al-A'raf (7:81), Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) mentions the story of the people of Lot (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) and their immoral behavior. This serves as a stern warning against engaging in homosexuality. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says,

Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people.

The teachings of this Hadith are rooted in the preservation of lineage and the importance of procreation. Adultery not only destroys the sanctity of marriage but also jeopardizes the lineage and family structure.
