Hadith #5564

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Patience is the symbol of [divine] succour.

This enlightening saying emphasizes the importance of patience in our lives as Muslims. To fully understand the depth of this Hadith, let us delve into the meanings of the key words.

The word "sabr" is translated as "patience" in English. It encompasses the ability to remain steadfast and composed in the face of hardships, trials, and tribulations. O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.

Another verse that emphasizes the importance of patience is found in Surah Al-Imran (3:200), where Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says,

O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.
