Hadith #11007

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, and his noble companions.

The provided Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

It is from the restriction of means to remain in one’s homeland [and not travel].

In Surah Al-Hajj (22:58), Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says,

And those who emigrated for the cause of Allah and then were killed or died - Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers.

This verse highlights the divine promise of provision for those who migrate for the sake of Allah. However, it does not imply that staying in one's homeland is devoid of blessings and provisions.

The exegesis of this Hadith suggests that Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) is emphasizing the importance of utilizing the resources and opportunities available in one's homeland.
