Hadith #5208

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

غُرُورُ الشَّيْطانِ يُسَوِّلُ، ويُطْمِعُ۔

This Hadith can be translated into English as,

The deception of Satan allures and entices.

Let us delve into the meanings of the key words in this Hadith. The word (ghuroor) "غُرُورُ" refers to deception, delusion, or the act of misleading someone. It signifies the cunning tactics employed by Satan to lead people astray from the path of righteousness.
