Hadith #9564

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Guarding the tongue is part of faith.

This thought-provoking saying emphasizes the importance of controlling our speech and using our words wisely. Let us delve into the exegesis of this Hadith in light of the Quran.

The word (hifz) "حِفْظُ" in Arabic, which is translated as "guarding" in English, implies the act of protecting and preserving something.
