Hadith #8845

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

مِنْ أكْرَمِ الخُلْقِ التَّحَلّي بِالقَناعَةِ۔

This can be translated into English as,

One of the most honourable morals is adorning oneself with contentment.

Let us delve into the meaning of the key words in this Hadith. "أكْرَمِ" refers to something that is most noble, honorable, or virtuous. "الخُلْقِ" refers to morals or character traits. "التَّحَلّي" means to adorn or beautify oneself with a particular quality. And finally, "القَناعَةِ" refers to contentment or satisfaction with what one has.
