Hadith #6419

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

أيْنَ الَّذينَ عَسْكَرُوا العَساكِرَ ومَدَنُوا المَدائِنَ؟!

which translates to,

Where are those who rallied the troops and inhabited the cities?

This powerful statement by Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) carries profound meanings and calls upon Muslims to reflect upon their responsibilities and duties towards their communities and the ummah as a whole.

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.
