Hadith #7529

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his purified progeny, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Sit in the company of scholars and you will increase your knowledge.

This wise utterance emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge and the role of scholars in our lives. Let us delve deeper into the meaning of this Hadith in light of the Quran.

The word (Jalis) "جالِسِ" in Arabic means to sit or be in the company of someone. It implies a close and intimate association with individuals who possess knowledge and wisdom. The word (Tazdad) "تَزْدَدْ" means to increase or grow.

Are those who know equal to those who do not know?
