Hadith #9399

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure Ahl al-Bayt, and his righteous companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states, "Lara'a li-lajuj." This Hadith is translated into English as,

A stubborn person has no [valid] opinion.

Let us delve into the significance of this statement in light of the Quran.

The word "lara'a" in Arabic refers to stubbornness or obstinacy. It signifies a person's refusal to accept or consider alternative viewpoints, even in the face of clear evidence or logical reasoning. Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].

Such individuals are unable to recognize their own errors and are thus unable to rectify them.
