Hadith #6055

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Espousing obedience [to Allah] is the best accoutrement [for the Hereafter].

This enlightening saying emphasizes the importance of adhering to the commandments of Allah and submitting to His will as the most valuable provision for the journey towards the Hereafter.

Let us delve into the meanings of the key words in this Hadith. The word (mulazamah) "مُلازَمَةُ" refers to steadfastness, perseverance, and commitment. O you who have believed, enter into peace completely and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

Furthermore, in Surah Al-Imran (3:102), Allah commands,

This verse emphasizes the significance of obedience to Allah throughout our lives, until our last breath. It reminds us that true success lies in remaining steadfast in our devotion to Allah and submitting to His will until the end.

The consequences of espousing obedience to Allah are profound. It leads to the purification of our souls, the strengthening of our faith, and the attainment of Allah's pleasure. It grants us tranquility, contentment, and a sense of purpose in this world, while also securing our place in the eternal abode of Paradise in the Hereafter.
