God-Given Success

Taking [and acting upon] good advice is from the biggest success. مِنْ أكْبَرِ التَّوْفيقِ اَلأخْذُ بِالنَّصيحَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Part of the success of a freeman (or a person) is his earning wealth through legitimate means. مِنْ تَوْفيقِ الحُرِّ (المَرءِ) اِكْتِسابُهُ المالَ مِنْ حِلِّهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم From the success of a man is putting his secret in the hands of one who conceals it and [placing]... مِنْ تَوْفيقِ الرَّجُلِ وَضْعُ سِرِّهِ عِنْدَ مَنْ يَسْتُرُهُ وَإحْسانُهُ عِنْدَ مَنْ يَنْشُرُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم We praise Allah, the Glorified, for the ability He has granted us to carrying out [acts of]... نَحْمَدُ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ عَلى ما وَفَّقَ لَهُ مِنَ الطّاعَةِ، وذادَ عَنْهُ مِنَ المَعْصِيَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is supported [by Allah] in his affairs is successful in achieving his goals. مَنْ تَأَيَّدَ فِي الأُمُورِ ظَفِرَ بِبُغْيَتِهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Whoever takes Allah to be His adviser attains success. مَنِ اسْتَنْصَحَ اللّهَ حازَ التَّوْفيقَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
