Blessing

Every bounty of this world is [headed towards] destruction. كُلُّ نَعِيمِ الدُّنْيا ثُبُورٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Every blessing from which good is done [to others] is indeed safe from being taken away and is... كُلُّ نِعْمَة أُنِيلَ مِنْها المَعْرُوفُ فَإنَّها مَأْمُونَةُ السَّلَبِ مُحَصَّنَةٌ مِنَ الغِيَرِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Whenever the blessing of an ignorant person becomes good, his ugliness in it increases. كُلَّما حَسُنَتْ نِعْمَةُ الجاهِلِ إزْدادَ قُبْحاً فيها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Let the effect of what Allah has blessed you with be visible on you. لِيُرَ عَلَيْكَ أثَرُ ما أنْعَمَ اللّهُ بِهِ عَلَيْكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Nothing has the ability to make blessings last like showing gratitude for them and nothing... لَنْ يَقْدِرَ أحَدٌ أنْ يَسْتَدِيمَ النِّعَمَ بِمِثْلِ شُكْرِها ولا يَزينَها بِمِثْلِ بَذْلِها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Whoever enumerates his favours [on others] effaces his munificence. مَنْ عَدَّدَ نِعَمَهُ مَحَقَ كَرَمَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who takes the help of a blessing [in order] to sin is indeed an ingrate. مَنِ اسْتَعانَ بِالنِّعْمَةِ عَلَى المَعْصِيَةِ فَهُوَ الكَفُورُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The one upon whom the blessings of Allah are abundant, the people’s needs towards him also abound... مَنْ كَثُرَتْ نِعَمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ كَثُرَتْ حَوائِجُ النّاسِ إلَيْهِ(فَإنْ قامَ فيها بِما أوْجَبَ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَدْ... —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Whoever extends his hand to bestow favours [to others] has protected his [own] blessing from... مَنْ بَسَطَ يَدَهُ بِالإنْعامِ حَصَّنَ نِعْمَتَهُ مِنَ الاِنْصِرامِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم It is incumbent upon the one whom Allah has munificently blessed to be generous in granting favours... مَنْ أوْسَعَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَةً (نِعَمَهُ) وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ أنْ يُوَسِّعَ النّاسَ إنْعاماً۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم A truthful friend is one of the blessings [of Allah]. مِنَ النِّعَمِ اَلصَّدِيقُ الصَّدُوقُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Being adorned with generosity and chastity is one of the most perfect blessings. مِنْ كَمالِ النِّعْمَةِ التَّحَلِّي بِالسَّخاءِ والتَّعَفُّفِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Nothing safeguards blessings like granting them to others. ما حُصِّنَتِ النِّعَمُ بِمِثْلِ الإنْعامِ بِها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Nothing guards blessings like gratitude. ما حُرِسَتِ النِّعَمُ بِمِثْلِ الشُّكْرِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How great are the blessings of Allah, the Glorified, in this world, yet how small they are in... ما أعْظَمَ نِعَمَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ فِي الدُّنيا وما أصْغَرَها في نِعَمِ الآخِرَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How close bounty is to woe! ما أقْرَبَ النَّعِيمَ مِنَ البُؤْسِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Allah has not bestowed any blessing on a servant who then does injustice with it but that he... ما أنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلى عَبْد نِعْمَةً فَظَلَمَ فِيها إلاّ كانَ حَقِيقاً أنْ يُزِيلَها عَنْهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The blessings of the ignorant are like a garden on a cesspit. نِعَمُ الجُهّالِ كَرَوْضَة عَلى مَزْبَلَة۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The blessing that is not appreciated is like the evil that is not forgiven. نِعْمَةٌ لاتُشْكَرُ كَسَيِّئَة لاتُغْفَرُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The blessings of Allah, the Most High, are greater than can be appreciated, except with the help of... نِعَمُ اللّهُ سُبْحانَهُ أكْثَرُ مِنْ أنْ تُشْكَرَ إلاّ ما أعانَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وذُنُوبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ أكْثَرُ مِنْ أنْ تُغْفَرَ إلاّ... —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم We ask Allah, the Glorified, for the completion of His favours [upon us] and for the ability to... نَسْألُ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ لَمِنَّتِهِ تَماماً وبِحَبْلِهِ اِعْتِصاماً۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Do not waste any of the blessings that Allah, the Glorified, has blessed you with, and let the... لاتُضِعْ نِعْمَةً مِنْ نِعَمِ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ عِنْدَكَ ولْيُرَ عَلَيْكَ أثَرَ ما أنْعَمَ اللّهُ بِهِ عَلَيْكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Blessings are not guarded but by gratitude. لاتُحاطُ النِّعَمُ إلاّ بِالشُّكْرِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Son of Adam, when you see Allah, the Glorified, continuously sending you His blessings then beware... يَاابْنَ آدَمَ إذا رَأَيْتَ اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ يُتابِعُ عَلَيْكَ نِعَمَهُ فَاحْذَرْهُ وحَصِّنَ النِّعَمَ بِشُكْرِها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
