It is part of nobleness to have good [and praiseworthy] traits.
مِنَ الكَرَمِ حُسْنُ الشِّيَمِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Completing [one’s] favours is from the perfection of munificence.
مِنْ تَمامِ الكَرَمِ إتْمامُ النِّعَمِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Fulfilling one’s obligations [and pacts] is part of nobleness.
مِنَ الكَرَمِ الوَفاءُ بِالذِّمَمِ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Doing good to the one who wrongs you is from the best [forms of] nobleness.
مِنْ أحْسَنِ الكَرَمِ الإحْسانُ إلَى المُسيئِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One of the signs of nobleness is hastening in [giving] reward.
مِنْ عَلاماتِ الكَرَمِ تَعْجِيلُ المَثُوبَةِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Part of nobleness is doing good to others and granting [them] support.
مِنَ الْكَرَمِ اِصْطِناعُ المََعْرُوفِ وبَذْلُ الرِّفْدِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
From the perfection of munificence is hastening [to give] reward.
مِنْ كَمالِ الكَرَمِ تَعْجيلُ المَثُوبَةِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
It is from nobleness for you to overlook the wrong that has been done to you.
مِنَ الكَرَمِ أنْ تَتَجاوَزَ عَنِ الإسائَةِ إلَيْكَ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
The order of nobleness entails successively doing good to others and assisting one’s brothers...
نِظامُ الكَرَمِ مُوالاةُ الإحْسانِ، ومُواساةُ الإخْوانِ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
The nobleness of a man is evinced by his cheerfulness and his kindness [to others].
يُسْتَدَلُّ عَلى كَرَمِ الرَّجُلِ بِحُسْنِ بِشْرِهِ، وبَذْلِ بِرِّهِ۔
