Trustworthiness

Trustworthiness leads to truthfulness. اَلأمانَةُ تُؤَدّي إلى الصِّدْقِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Trustworthiness and loyalty are sincere actions, lying and fabrication are perfidious utterances. اَلأمانةُ والوَفاءُ صِدْقُ الأفعالِ، والكِذْبُ والإفتِراءُ خيانَةُ الأقوالِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Return the trust to the one who has entrusted it to you, and do not act treacherously with the one... أدِّ الأمانَةَ إلى مَنِ ائْتَمَنَكَ، ولا تَخُنْ مَنْ خانَكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Return the trust when it is entrusted to you, and do not accuse anyone when you entrust something... أدِّ الأمانَةَ إذَا ائْتُمِنْتَ، ولا تَتَّهِمْ غَيرَكَ إذَا ائْتَمَنْتَهُ، فَإنَّهُ لا إيمانَ لِمَنْ لا أمانَةَ لَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The best [form of] trustworthiness is keeping one’s promise. أفضلُ الأمانَةِ الوَفاءُ بِالعَهدِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Trustworthiness is [a sign of] faith; cheerfulness is [a form of] kindness. اَلأمانةُ إيمانٌ، البَشاشَةُ إحسانٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Trustworthiness is preservation [and safeguarding of what has been entrusted]. اَلأمانَةُ صِيانةٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Trustworthiness is a success for the one who observes it. الأمانَةُ فَوْزٌ لِمَنْ رَعاها(وَعاها)۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Trustworthiness is a merit for the one who executes it. اَلأمانَةُ فَضيلَةٌ لِمَنْ أدَّاها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The bane of trustworthiness is treachery. آفَةُ الأمانَةِ الخِيانَةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When you are entrusted with something, then do not betray [the trust]. إذا ائْتُمِنْتَ فَلا تَخُنْ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When you entrust anyone [with something], then do not accuse them of treachery. إذا ائْتَمَنْتَ فَلا تَسْتَخِنْ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When trustworthiness becomes stronger, truthfulness increases. إذا قَوِيَتِ الأمَانةُ كَثُرَ الصِّدْقُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The cornerstone of faith is trustworthiness. رَأسُ الإسلامِ(الإيمانِ) الأمانَةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Sound trustworthiness is a symbol of good conviction. صِحَّةُ الأمانَةِ عُنْوانُ حُسْنِ المُعْتَقَدِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Espouse trustworthiness for it is the best [form of] religiosity. عَلَيْكَ بِالأمانَةِ فَإنَّها أفْضَلُ دِيانَة۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Corruption of trustworthiness is submission to treachery. فَسادُ الأمانَةِ طاعَةُ الخِيانَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Successful is the one who clothes himself with loyalty and arms himself with trustworthiness. فازَ مَنْ تَجَلْبَبَ الوَفاءَ، وادَّرَعَ الأمانَةَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Everything that is not fit to be disclosed is a trust, even if its confidentiality is not... كُلُّ شَيْء لايَحْسُنُ نَشْْرُهُ أمانَةٌ وإنْ لَمْ يُسْتَكتَمْ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who has no trustworthiness has no faith. مَنْ لا أمانَةَ لَهُ لا إيمانَ لَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who takes [the] keeping [of] trust lightly will fall into treachery. مَنِ اسْتَهانَ بِالأمانَةِ وَقَعَ فيِ الخِيانَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who acts with trustworthiness has perfected his religion. مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالأمانَةِ فَقَدْ أكْمَلَ الدِّيانَةَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The best trust that can be kept is fulfilling [one’s] obligations. مِنْ أحْسنَ الأمانَةِ رَعْىُ الذِّمَمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no faith in one who is not trustworthy. لا إيمانَ لِمَنْ لا أمانَةَ لَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
