Judiciousness

One whose judiciousness is reduced, his determination is weakened. مَنْ قَلَّ حَزْمُهُ ضَعُفَ عَزْمُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is not pushed forward by judiciousness is held back by impuissance. مَنْ لَمْ يُقَدِّمْهُ الحَزْمُ، أخَّرَهُ العَجْزُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم From judiciousness comes strong determination. مِنَ الحَزْمِ قُوَّةُ العَزْمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم From judiciousness comes preparedness and readiness. مِنَ الحَزْمِ اَلتَّأَهُّبُ والاِسْتِعْدادُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Preserving [the lessons learnt from] experience is from judiciousness. مِنَ الحَزْمِ حِفْظُ التَّجْرِبَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Genuine determination comes from judiciousness. مِنَ الحَزْمِ صِحَّةُ العَزْمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Stopping [and assessing the situation] when faced with doubt is part of judiciousness. مِنَ الحَزْمِ الوُقُوفُ عِنْدَ الشُّبْهَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم From the excellence of judiciousness is being prepared to move and being ready to travel [from this... مِنْ كَمالِ الحَزْمِ الاسْتِعْدادُ لِلنُّقْلَةِ، والتَّأَهُّبُ لِلرِّحْلَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
