Judiciousness means enduring agony until the opportunity [to react] avails itself.
اَلْحَزْمُ تَجَرُّعُ الغُصَّةِ، حَتّى تُمَكِّنَ الفُرْصَةُ۔

The last sources of self-preservation are the first points of caution.
أواخِرُ مَصادِرِ التَّوَقّي أوائِلُ مَوارِدِ الحَذَرِ۔

Judiciousness is considering the consequences [of actions] and consulting the wise.
اَلحَزْمُ اَلنَّظَرُ فِي العَواقِبِ، ومُشاوَرَةُ ذَوِي العُقُولِ۔

Indeed, the one who gets involved in matters without thinking about the consequences is vulnerable...
ألا وإنَّ مَنْ تَوَرَّطَ فِي الأُمُورِ مِنْ غَيْرِ نَظَر فِي العَواقِبِ فَقَدْ تَعَرَّضَ لِمُفْدِحاتِ النَّوائِبِ۔

The root of determination is judiciousness, and its fruit is victory.
أصْلُ العَزْمِ الحَزْمُ، وثَمَرَتُهُ اَلظَّفَرُ۔

Judiciousness is a provision and negligence is a loss.
اَلْحَزْمُ بِضاعَةٌ (و) التَّواني إضاعَةٌ۔

Judiciousness is a skill.
اَلحَزْمُ صِناعَةٌ۔

Judiciousness is [having] the most pertinent of views.
اَلحَزْمُ أسَدُّ الآراءِ۔

Judiciousness is preserving the [lessons learned through] experience.
اَلحَزْمُ حِفْظُ التَجْرِبَةِ۔

Judiciousness is [achieved] through weighing the opinions thoroughly.
اَلحَزْمُ بِإجالَةِ الرَّأْيِ۔

Judiciousness is being extremely cautious.
اَلحَزْمُ شِدَّةُ الاِسْتِظْهارِ۔

Views are many but foresight is little.
اَلرَّأْيُ كَثيرٌ، والحَزْمُ قَليلٌ۔

اَلحَزْمُ حِفْظُ ما كُلِّفْتَ، وتَرْكُ ما كُفيتَ۔

Tranquillity before [gaining] awareness [of the situation] is contrary to judiciousness.
اَلطُّمَأْنِينَةُ قَبْلَ الخُبْرَةِ خِلافُ الحَزْمِ۔

Verily judiciousness is only in obedience to Allah and disobedience to the [lower] self.
إنَّما الحَزْمُ طاعَةُ اللّهِ، ومَعْصِيةُ النَّفْسِ۔

The bane of judiciousness is losing the matter.
آفَةُ الحَزْمِ فَوْتُ الأمْرِ۔

When judiciousness is coupled with determination, felicity becomes complete.
إذَا اقْتَرَنَ العَزْمُ بِالحَزْمِ كَمُلَتِ السَّعادَةُ۔

The fruit of judiciousness is wellbeing.
ثَمَرَةُ الحَزْمِ السَّلامَةُ۔

Act with judiciousness and cling to knowledge your results will be praiseworthy.
خُذْ بِالحَزْمِ، والْزِمِ العِلْمَ، تُحْمَدْ عَواقِبُكَ۔

The end result of judiciousness is precaution.
غايَةُ الحَزْمِ الاِسْتِظْهارُ۔

One who opposes judiciousness is destroyed.
مَنْ خالَفَ الحَزْمَ هَلَكَ۔

مَنْ أخَذَ بِالحَزْمِ اِسْتَظْهَرَ۔

One who fails to act with judiciousness is reckless.
مَنْ أضاعَ الحَزْمَ تَهَوَّرَ۔
