Hadith #11138

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

God-wariness is the fortress of the believer.

This impactful Hadith emphasizes the importance of taqwa, which can be translated as God-wariness, piety, or consciousness of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ). Additionally, in Surah Al-Hujurat, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) states, (Quran 49:13)

Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

This verse emphasizes that true nobility and superiority lie in righteousness and taqwa. It is not based on worldly status or wealth but on the level of God-wariness and piety that one possesses.

The hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) reminds us that taqwa is not merely a superficial act of worship but a comprehensive way of life.
