Hadith #1886

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, and blessings be upon Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states, "Al-jahl ma'dinu al-sharr." This translates to

Ignorance is the [primary] source of evil.

And [remember, O Muhammad], when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and would have disputed in the matter [of whether to fight], but Allah saved [you from that]. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim.

By acquiring knowledge, we can combat ignorance and its associated evils. We can make informed choices, contribute positively to society, and promote peace and harmony.
