Hadith #730

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

مَنْ لا إخوانَ لَهُ لا أهلَ لَهُ۔

This can be translated as,

One who has no brothers has no kin.

This wise utterance of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) carries deep meaning and wisdom, and it can be understood and supported through various verses of the Quran.

The word (ikhwan) "إخوان" in this Hadith refers to brothers, and it signifies the bond of brotherhood and kinship. unite in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart.

Imam Ali's statement,

One who has no brothers has no kin,
