Hadith #6015

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

In this profound Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ), he emphasizes his commitment to leading by example and his unwavering dedication to obedience and avoidance of disobedience. Let us delve into the deeper meanings of this Hadith and explore its significance in light of the Quran.

The first important word in this Hadith is (ta'ah) "طاعَة", which means obedience. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says in the Quran, in Surah Al-Ahzab (33:21):

Certainly, you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.

And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.
