The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

رُبَّ مَمْلُوك لايُسْتَطاعُ فِراقُهُ۔

This Hadith is a amazing Hadith that carries deep meaning and wisdom. Let us delve into the exegesis of this Hadith in light of the Quran.

The word (mamluk) "مَمْلُوك" in this Hadith refers to a slave or a servant. It signifies someone who is owned by another and is under their authority. The word (laysa yustati'u) "لايُسْتَطاعُ" means that it is unbearable or impossible to endure or tolerate. And the word (firaaquhu) "فِراقُهُ" means separation or parting.

This verse highlights the importance of human relationships, particularly the bond between spouses. Allah has created mates for us to find tranquility and comfort in each other's company. The separation from a beloved spouse, who is like a mamluk, can be extremely difficult to bear. The emotional attachment and love that develops between two individuals make it unbearable to be apart from one another.

Furthermore, in Surah Al-Rum, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) states, (Quran 30:21)

The separation from a beloved companion, whether it be a friend, a family member, or a spouse, can be incredibly challenging to endure. The bond that is formed between individuals is so strong that the thought of being separated from them becomes unbearable.
