كَيفَ يَضيعُ مَنِ اللّهُ كافِلُهُ؟!
How can one whose guarantor is Allah, lose?.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, and his noble companions.
The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,
كَيفَ يَضيعُ مَنِ اللّهُ كافِلُهُ؟!
which translates to
How can one whose guarantor is Allah, lose?
This amazing Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) highlights the unwavering trust and reliance that a believer should have in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ).
Let us delve into the key words of this Hadith to better understand its meaning. The word (diya') "ضيع" means to lose, to be wasted, or to be deprived of something. To further comprehend the depth of this Hadith, we can turn to the Quran for guidance. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) assures us in Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 286,
Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.
This verse emphasizes that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is our ultimate guarantor and protector. He knows our capabilities and does not burden us with trials and challenges that exceed our capacity to handle.
Additionally, in Surah Al-Anfal, Ayah 62, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) states,
And if they intend to deceive you - then indeed, Allah is sufficient for you. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers.
This verse highlights that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is the ultimate protector and supporter of His believers. He is sufficient for us in all circumstances, and His help is always available to those who seek it.
Imam Ali's (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) statement reminds us of the unbreakable bond between Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and His sincere servants. It serves as a reminder that when we place our trust in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and rely on Him as our guarantor, we can never truly be lost or deprived. Our success and salvation are guaranteed by the Almighty.
This Hadith also highlights the importance of having complete faith and reliance on Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ). When we trust in Allah's (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) wisdom, mercy, and guidance, we are protected from the pitfalls of this world. We are shielded from losing our way and falling into the traps of sin and disobedience.
Imam Ali's (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) statement serves as a motivation for us to strengthen our relationship with Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ). It encourages us to seek His guidance, rely on His support, and trust in His plan for us. When we recognize that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is our ultimate guarantor, we are motivated to strive for righteousness, knowing that our efforts will never be in vain.
The consequences of internalizing this Hadith are profound. When we truly understand that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is our guarantor, we are filled with a sense of peace and tranquility. We are no longer overwhelmed by the challenges and uncertainties of life because we know that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is always by our side, guiding and protecting us.
Reflecting on this Hadith, we are reminded of the immense knowledge and wisdom possessed by Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ). His deep understanding of the Quran and his unwavering faith in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) allowed him to articulate such profound statements. As Muslims, we should strive to emulate his example and seek knowledge and understanding of the Quran to strengthen our faith and relationship with Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ).
