Hadith #1250

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

شرُّ الإيمانِ ما دَخَلَهُ الشَّكُّ۔

This translates to,

The worst faith is that in which doubt enters.

Let us delve into the significance of this Hadith in light of the Quran.

How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.

By studying the Quran and reflecting on its teachings, we can strengthen our faith and dispel doubts. Seeking knowledge from reputable scholars and engaging in discussions with fellow Muslims can also help us gain clarity and overcome uncertainties.

Moreover, it is crucial to nurture a strong relationship with Allah through consistent prayer, supplication, and remembrance. By maintaining a close connection with our Creator, we can find solace and reassurance in times of doubt. Allah promises in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:186),

And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.
