Hadith #8742

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Blessed is one in whose heart the coolness [and tranquillity] of certitude is made to enter.

This enlightening Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) highlights the immense value and significance of having a heart filled with the coolness and tranquillity of certitude.

Let us delve into the key words of this Hadith to gain a deeper understanding. The word (bushira) "بُوشِرَ" means to be given glad tidings or to be informed of something positive. To understand the significance of this Hadith, we can turn to the Quran for guidance. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says in Surah Al-Hujurat (49:15),

Indeed, the believers are only those who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful.

This verse emphasizes the importance of unwavering faith and certainty in the hearts of believers. It is through this certitude that believers are able to dedicate their lives and resources in the path of Allah.

Furthermore, in Surah Al-Anfal (8:2), Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) describes the believers as those

Imam Ali's (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) Hadith encourages us to seek this state of certitude and tranquillity in our hearts. When our hearts are filled with the coolness of certitude, we are able to navigate through the challenges of life with a sense of peace and contentment. Our faith becomes unshakable, and we are able to face any trials and tribulations with unwavering conviction.
