Hadith #4259

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

مَنْ أعْمَلَ الرَّأيَ غَنِمَ۔

This can be translated as,

One who acts on the [correct] opinion, benefits [from it].

Let us delve into the deeper meaning of this Hadith by examining the important words and concepts it contains. The word (ra'i) "رأي" refers to opinion or judgment, while (a'mal) "أعمل" means to act or implement. The word (ghanim) "غنم" can be translated as benefit or gain.

So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].
