In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

Additionally, in Surah Al-Qasas (28:77), Allah says,

But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of lawful enjoyment in this world, and do good as Allah has been good to you, and seek not mischief in the land. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupters).

From these verses, we can understand that seeking wealth and material possessions is not inherently wrong, as long as it is done within the boundaries set by Allah. However, when one becomes extravagant in their desires and exerts excessive effort in acquiring wealth, it leads to a lack of contentment and a deviation from the path of truth and certitude.

Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) warns us about the consequences of such behavior. When one becomes consumed by their pursuit of wealth, their focus shifts away from the remembrance of Allah and the pursuit of spiritual growth. We should strive for success and prosperity, but not at the expense of our spiritual well-being and the well-being of others. True certitude and contentment can only be achieved when we prioritize our relationship with Allah and fulfill our responsibilities towards Him and His creation.
