Hadith #10556

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

مِنْ كَرَمِ النَّفْسِ العَمَلُ بِالطَّاعَةِ۔

This can be translated as,

Being obedient [to Allah] is from the nobility of the soul.

In this amazing Hadith, Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) highlights the significance of obedience to Allah as a reflection of the nobility and greatness of one's soul.

Furthermore, in Surah An-Nisa, Ayah 59, Allah states,

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.

It deepens their connection with Allah and enhances their spirituality. Thirdly, obedience to Allah fosters a sense of accountability and responsibility. It encourages Muslims to fulfill their obligations towards themselves, their families, their communities, and the wider society.

In conclusion, the Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) emphasizes the nobility of the soul that is reflected through obedience to Allah.
