Hadith #9856

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states, "أفْضَلُ المُلُوكِ العادِلُ۔" This translates to

The best king is the just one.

Let us delve into the meaning of this statement in light of the Quran.

The word (muluk) "مُلُوكِ" in Arabic refers to kings or rulers. It signifies individuals who hold authority and power over a nation or community. The word (al-'adil) "العادِلُ" means the just or fair one. It refers to a ruler who upholds justice, fairness, and equality in their governance.
