Hadith #3250

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

لَمْ يَضِقْ شَيْءٌ مَعَ حُسْنِ الخُلقِ۔

which translates to

Nothing gets constricted with good character.

This thought-provoking Hadith highlights the immense importance of possessing good character and the positive impact it has on our lives.

Let us delve deeper into the words of this Hadith. The word (daiq) "ضِقْ" means to become narrow, constricted, or restricted. It refers to a state of constriction or limitation. And indeed, you are of a great moral character.

repel evil with that which is better.

By embodying the noble traits exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and his Ahl al-Bayt, we can experience a life filled with ease, blessings, and contentment. Good character not only benefits us in this world but also holds immense rewards in the Hereafter.
