Hadith #6871

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his family (Ahl al-Bayt), and his companions.

The provided Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Virtuous chastity is from the traits of the honourable ones.

The word (husn) "حُسْنُ" in Arabic means "goodness" or "excellence." It refers to a state of being virtuous, righteous, and morally upright. The phrase (min shiyam al-ashraf) "مِنْ شِيَمِ الأشْرافِ" can be translated as

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.

O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.
