Hadith #10755

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

الناس بخير ما تفاوتوا

which translates to

People are fine as long as they are dissimilar from one another.

This impactful saying of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) holds great significance and can be understood in light of the teachings of the Quran.

The word (tafawwutu) "تفاوتوا" in the Hadith refers to the state of being dissimilar or different from one another. It implies that people are at their best when they possess unique qualities, talents, and characteristics that complement and enrich society as a whole. This diversity is a blessing from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and should be embraced rather than rejected.
