Hadith #9346

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

مِنْ عَلامَةِ اللُّؤْمِ سُوءُ الجُوارِ۔

This Hadith is translated as,

Being a bad neighbor is from the signs of vileness.

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.

This verse highlights the importance of treating neighbors with kindness and compassion, as they are mentioned alongside other categories of people who deserve our care and attention. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) also emphasized the rights of neighbors and the importance of maintaining good relations with them. He said,
