Hadith #5907

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

ما كُلُّ رام يُصيبُ۔

This Hadith can be translated into English as,

To everyone who shoots hits the mark.

Let us delve into the essence of this statement in light of the Quran.

Firstly, let us understand the key words in this Hadith. The word (ram) "رام" refers to someone who shoots an arrow or aims at a target. It signifies an individual who takes action, makes an effort, or strives towards a goal. The word (yusīb) "يُصيبُ" means to hit or reach the intended target. To comprehend the deeper meaning of this Hadith, we can refer to the Quran. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 286: (2:286)

Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear...

This verse emphasizes that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) does not place a burden on anyone that they cannot handle. It implies that every individual has the capability to achieve their goals and fulfill their responsibilities.

Furthermore, in Surah Al-Isra, verse 80, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) states: (17:80)

And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference

This verse highlights the inherent potential and honor bestowed upon human beings by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ). It signifies that every individual has the ability to excel and achieve greatness in their endeavors.
