In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

ما ذَلَّ مَنْ أحْسَنَ الفِكْرَ۔

This can be translated as,

He who excels in thinking never gets humiliated.

This impactful Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) emphasizes the importance of intellectual excellence and the role it plays in protecting one's dignity and honor.

And Allah has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers not knowing a thing, and He made for you hearing and vision and intellect that perhaps you would be grateful

Furthermore, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) encourages believers to ponder and reflect upon His signs in the universe. In Surah Al-Imran, Allah says, (Quran 3:190)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding

Imam Ali's (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) Hadith can be understood in light of these Quranic teachings.
