Hadith #8059

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, the Ahl al-Bayt, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states:

طُوبى لِمَنْ لَمْ تَقْتُلْهُ قاتِلاتُ الغُرُورِ۔

This Hadith can be translated as:

Blessed be the one who has not been killed by the lethal poisons of deception.

Let us delve into the words of this profound Hadith. The term (qatilat) "قاتِلاتُ" refers to the killers or slayers, while (al-ghuroor) "الغُرُورِ" translates to deception or delusion. The word (tuba) "طُوبى" denotes a state of blessedness or felicity.

And say: 'Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart.'

This verse reminds us that truth will always prevail over falsehood. Deception may seem enticing and alluring, but it is inherently transient and destined to perish. The one who remains steadfast on the path of truth, untainted by the allure of deception, will ultimately be victorious.
