The best reserve is true guidance.
أفْضَلُ الذُّخْرِ اَلهُدى۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Through true guidance discernment increases.
بِالهُدى يَكْثُرُ الاِسْتِبْصارُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
He who takes guidance from other than the guidance of Allah has gone astray.
ضَلَّ مَنِ اهْتَدى بِغَيْرِ هُدَى اللّهِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Blessed is the one who hastens towards true guidance before its doors are closed.
طُوبى لِمَنْ بادَرَ الهُدى قَبْلَ أنْ تُغْلَقَ أبْوابُهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Following true guidance leads to salvation.
طاعَةُ الهُدى تُنْجي۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Successful is the one who gets illumination from the lamp of guidance, opposes the calls of [his]...
فازَ مَنِ اسْتَصْبَحَ بِنُورِ الهُدى، وَخالَفَ دَواعِيَ الهَوى، وجَعَلَ الإيمانَ عُدَّةَ مَعادِهِ، والتَّقْوى ذُخْرَهُ وزادَهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
How can the one who is astray be guided aright when the guide [he follows] is heedless?!
كَيْفَ يَهْتَدِى الضَّليلُ مَعَ غَفْلَةِ الدَّليلِ؟!

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
How can one who is himself astray guide others to the right?!
كَيْفَ يَهْدي غَيْرَهُ مَنْ يُضِلُّ نَفْسَهُ؟!

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
How is the one who is overcome by [his] vain desire able to get true guidance?!
كَيْفَ يَسْتَطيعُ الهُدى مَنْ يَغْلِبُهُ الهَوى؟!

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Let your garment be true guidance.
لِيَكُنْ شِعارُكَ الهُدى۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who is guided attains salvation.
مَنِ اهْتَدى نَجا۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Whoever seeks true guidance through the guidance of Allah is guided to the right path by Him.
مَنِ اهْتَدى بِهُدَى اللّهِ أرْشَدَهُ۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
He who takes guidance from other than the guidance of Allah, the Glorified, has gone astray.
مَنِ اهْتَدى بِغَيْرِ هُدَى اللّهَ سُبْحانَهُ ضَلَّ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
He who seeks true guidance through the guidance of Allah disassociates [himself] from the opponents...
مَنِ اهْتَدى بِهُدَى اللّهِ فارَقَ الأضْدادَ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who seeks guidance from those who do not possess it is led astray.
مَنْ يَطْلُبِ الْهِدايَةَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أهْلِها يَضِلُّ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who seeks guidance from the misguided becomes blinded to the course of true guidance.
مَنِ اسْتَهْدَى الغاوِيَ عَمِيَ عَنْ نَهْجِ الهُدى۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
The guidance of Allah is the best guidance.
هُدَى اللّهِ أحْسَنُ الهُدى۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
There is no deviation with true guidance.
لاضِلالَ مَعَ هُدىً۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
There is no guide better than true guidance.
لادَليلَ أرْشَدُ مِنَ الهُدى۔
—Ghurar al-Hikam
—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
There is no guidance for one who has no knowledge.
لاهِدايَةَ لِمَنْ لاعِلْمَ لَهُ۔
