Cowardice

Be wary of cowardice for it is indeed disgraceful and [is] a deficiency. اِحْذَروُا الجُبْنَ، فَإنَّهُ عارٌ، ومَنْقَصَةٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cowardice is an affliction and impuissance is feeble-mindedness. اَلجُبْنُ افَةٌ، اَلْعَجْزُ سَخافَةٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Extreme cowardice stems from impuissance of the self and weakness of conviction. شِدَّةُ الجُبْنِ مِنْ عَجْزِ النَّفْسِ وَضَعْفِ اليَقينِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
