Success, Prosperity And Salvation

The most successful of you are the most truthful among you. أنْجَحُكُمْ أصْدَقُكُمْ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The person who attains his objective the most is one who has intelligence and is mild-mannered. أدْرَكُ النّاسِ لِحاجَتِهِ ذُو الْعَقْلِ الْمُتَرَفِّقُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم If you seek of prosperity, then reject negligence and diversion, and espouse diligence and effort. إنْ كُنْتُمْ لِلنَّجاةِ طالِبِينَ فَارْفَضُوا الْغَفْلَةَ واللَّهْوَ والْزَمُوا الاِجْتِهادَ والْجِدَّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The bane of success is laziness. آفَةُ النُّجْحِِ اَلْكَسَلُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم At times success may be attained. قَدْ يُنالُ النُّجْحُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The healing of a wound may at times lead to disability. قَدْ يُعْيِي إنْدِمالُ الْجُرْحِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How close is success to one who is quick to release [and send forth his provisions for the... ما أقْرَبَ النَّجاحَ مِمَّنْ عَجَّلَ السَّراحَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The basis of salvation is espousing faith and [having] true certitude. مِلاكُ النَّجاةِ لُزُومُ الإيمانِ وصِدْقُ الإيقانِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم None is successful in attaining salvation but the one who fulfils the requirements of faith. لا يَفُوزُ بِالنَّجاةِ إلاّ مَنْ قامَ بِشَرائِطِ الإيمانِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no salvation for one who has no faith. لانَجاةَ لِمَنْ لاإيمانَ لَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم He from whose evil people are not safe, is not saved from [the punishment of] Allah, the Glorified. لا يَنْجُو مِنَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ مَنْ لا يَنْجُوالنّاسُ مِنْ شَرِّهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is salvation in three things: espousing truth, shunning falsehood and working hard. ثَلاثٌ فِيهِنَّ النَّجاةُ: لُزُومُ الْحَقِّ، وتَجَنُّبُ الْباطِلِ ورُ كُوبُ الجِدِّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How can one who flees from Allah be saved?! كَيْفَ يَنْجُو مِنَ اللّهِ هارِبُهُ؟! —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
